I'm sorry to do this to the members here who use Tapatalk, but Tapatalk access will be permanently removed from the forum in the next few days. It's unlikely it will ever return, and I will list some of the reasons below but it essentially comes down to their declining standards in coding practices and inattention to security vulnerabilities.
Yet another security issue with Tapatalk has been brought to my attention today, and it's the final straw as far as I'm concerned. We don't store much in the way of personal data other than your email address, but that's not the point. With your email address and your password (if you use the same one for both) a hacker could find out all sorts of stuff from your email account. Just think what websites you access with the same password...
A while back their in-app registration system started bypassing the sites SPAM checks I've configured and we had an increase in SPAM accounts registering. I had to stop people registering accounts through the Tapatalk app because of it.
I'm just not prepared to risk the security of the forum any longer. We aren't the first forum to ditch them, and some of you may visit a larger Z4 specific forum which has removed it recently due to much the same reasons. We won't be the last with the way things are heading either.
The forum software is fully mobile responsive so will display fine on all sized devices be it a smartphone or a tablet. I am aware it will be a learning curve for those who are used to Tapatalk, and I will do my best to assist you as and when you have a question.
