Sorry but progress has been slow, but I have no intention of dropping this project and not seeing this through.
I thought I had better explain the reason for lack of progress.
Unfortunately my wife has Alzheimer’s which has been getting worse, and as a result I am not able to leave her on her own for long periods of time.
I did get up to use Marks’ car in Banbury (@Althulas ) but unfortunately this is not an option now because of the travelling.
I have since been trying to buy a second Z3 to strip down and use but narrowly missed out on one on ebay last week, but will keep looking and bidding on suitable cars.
If I cant get hold of another car, Worst case is that it will be Jan/Feb, when I take mine off the road for two months to refurb the back end, and I can use mine to test the straps on.
I have emailed the company that I have been working with, and they are ok with this and will keep all the data they have created so far..

Sorry for this delay , as I know there are a lot of people interested in these, but I will get it resolved.
Malc

Sorry to hear that mate, keep your chin up, no rush for me or anybody else I suspect. Thanks for persevering

Sorry to hear about your wife, that is a horrible situation to be in. No one will be worried about a delay, this is a great project which will benefit many of us.

I feel for you mate my mum has the same awful illness. Don't feel any pressure at all, sort it out as and when your circumstances allow.

Malc,
I am just very grateful to you for even starting all this for us.
Please do not feel under any pressure at all to get this finished by any particular time, you have much more important things to worry about and my thoughts are with you and your family.
When I hear your story, tank straps suddenly don’t seem that important!

So sorry to hear that your wife has that horrible disease Malc. Shirl's dad Reg suffered from it too and even doing these straps when time allows it will likely be a welcome distraction for you. Take care mate.

Tony.

Sorry to hear your wife is not well.
Puts thing into perspective more important than tank straps

Sorry to hear about your wife.

As others have said, no rush.

Sorry to read this best wishes to you both
