Looks a very nice job.

Who did them, how much and what did the rim protectors cost?

If they're in striking distance of me I'd be interested in having a job done.

It wasnt cheap £354 inc BMW owners club discount but I had them done before by somebody else at £200 and they were flaking within a year, i am confident that these will last.
I bought the rim protectors myself last year at the TopGear show they are called AlloyGators I thnk they were £80 and you get 5, I have fitted a set myself to my winter tyres and its not difficult but you hve to let the tyres down so i let this company fit this set seeing as the tyres were coming off, they charged me £40 for fitting.
The company is The wheel specialist in Garforth near Leeds, they have loads of different finishes I was going to go for Gloss black until I saw the smoked chrome.

Thats the people, mine were not buckled but both fronts were kerbed, realy pleased with the finish no orange peel or dirt under the laquer.

if your south east way you can try painituk.com its a mate of mine, he has a 40k wheel lathe, he powder coats, he straightens and he'll do it alot cheaper than £350

Sadly not in the South East. Nearest large Town is Peterborough.

It's my wifes car that needs the wheels doing..... To whoever gets the job they'll be a challenge! x_x

Lets just say I bought her car in grey because it doesn't show the dirt...... She's appreciated and taken full advantage of that aspect of the car!

The wheels have been curbed, but it's the brake dust that's ruined them.

:(

Many of us have used the wheel specialist in Leeds. I've always recommended him having had two vehicles done there.
It is a national franchise so there will be an outlet nearer to Peterborough. I'll forward some links when I'm back at my PC ;)

There's a company in Huntingdon called 'wheel geinie' that I've heard good things about. There's a body shop next door to me and they use them. I have rung for a price before, was quoted 285+vat for a set in any colour, they do shadow chrome etc..

The Wheel Specialist - Leeds
My story from Znet - http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=205321

If there isn't a depot near you and you can manage without your Zed for a few days, one option is to courier the wheels in for refurb - Yalden sent his to Leeds from Cornwall!
