One thing that always looks wrong to me is the small peashooter exhaust tips on a 2.8, I was going to put a sport cat back to sort this issue but I am fond of the sound as it is so got myself a couple of 60mm tips of Ebay and had a play today,
before and after
Hanging too low and they just caught my eye everytime I looked at the rear

Lifted 20mm and new tips

The obvious way to get it higher was to change the hangers, the original ones where pretty good so I took one to a local motor factors and had a rummage through thier box, chose the 2 I wanted and hung the exhaust in place
You can see how much smaller the new ones are

Once in place the tail pipes where positioned and the void was filled with 2 component metal paste, I only had about 15 mins to get it in before it sets, its that good it can be drilled and tapped

I then sprayed it black so its less noticable
Looks much better and I am now happy with it, I may still fit a sport box but this has fixed an anoying problem

The end must be near Sean!
It is mate, just doing some annoying stuff that I wouldn't have done had it been summer, was going to tax and insure it at the end of Jan but we had all that snow so decided to leave it until the end of Feb, all it needs now is a valet

I found that it is easy in the facelift but not so on the pre as there is no room without butchering the battery box, I am going to see what the exhaust place says if and when I do it, I do love quads. so sexy
