Priced up a few engine mods for my Z3, seems quite expensive for relative small gains. (Mines a double vanos)
Anybody any knowledge of supercharging, preferably Rotrex. Could probably fit a kit myself but only ones available seem to be from states.(and not Rotrex)
Are there any garages offering mod ? Emailed a few asking but no answers back...
Any suggestions...
(Not sell car buy an M...had car 8 years..its mint..just under 40k miles)
Cheers

In the US they love supercharging, you'll find plenty of info on the Bimmerforums - I've seen plenty of s52's done there which is the 3.0 'M' they got but it only had 240bhp as it was actually a worked on 3.0l. It's fairly different from the 2.8 though but check he e36 3 series forums as plenty of 328i were made and should be supercharged by now.

I've seen videos of a couple that have been finished but nothing seems to be well documented on the e36. Hopefully in the coming months I'll be able to give a better idea of how mine runs. Up to now it hasn't cost a lot to do I just struggle with getting the time to work on it. I'm using an eaton M62 supercharger from a Mercedes and have a recirculation valve and an intercooler. I've mounted mine on the topside of the engine which has caused issues with pipework and the radiator but I've just about sorted them all now. If I was doing it again I'd mount it where the air con compressor is situated, more room and less hassle.

Thanks for input everybody...
Set my heart on a Rotrex conversion but plenty of food for thought..
