Dear friends,
I am considering a supercharger installation to my Z3. I found the below. The price is $625 but not including Supercharger. Also they said we have to buy some additional not including in the kit like intercooler, long injector etc. Do you have any recommendations?

Regards
Kenny

Supercharging? This sounds like a good example of over charging! The supercharger and intercooler are the most important parts of the system, but all you are going to get are a few bits if hose and some brackets - and probably an ineffective K&N air filter. The management system will need to be remapped on a rolling road too - if you can find a competent firm to do it.

In any case, have you checked with your insurer regarding the inevitable increase in premium?

I would advise you to think seriously about buying a good 2.8 instead, or go the old-fashioned way and have a good cylinder head job, with a pair of decent camshafts etc. There is a lot of experience in modifying the M44 engine.

This is just a bracket kit with some hardware.
you have to source a supercharger (that is compatible with the kit) reroute the pcv valve to an oil catch-can, delete the air hoses from the injectors and then relocate the steering reservoir as also you will have to make the intake work, meaning fabricating or matching a pipe to the maf and throttle body.
further to that find the best way to mount your intercooler and route the hoses around the engine bay, probably change injectors if your supercharger is big and finally tune the car on a rolling road for reliability and optimum performance.
not cheap stuff all that and then there is another bag of worms to dig into. Brakes and suspension.
These Moab brackets were introduced for the 318ti compact e36s and the seller cant help you with anything else but the installation of what he is selling.
so better be 100% sure that you know what you are doing.
Cheers

Check out Auto Alex channel on YouTube. They've got a supercharged M44, featured in their Nurburgring series, think they named the brand of charger used but cant remember. It seems to shred belts like no-ones business, worth a watch if you're considering.

As mentioned above, that’s just the bracket kit, depending on which ‘charger you were going for.
They do offer the components to rectify the fueling, but it’s pricey.
If you don’t have aircon then there’s space to fit the AMR500 in its place. Was my choice, but events have overtaken that. You would want one with a pk6 pulley to match the BMW crank. Loads of options for the manifolds, steel, alloy, 3d printed. Feeding into an intercooler is p*** easy from there.

You can’t fit an Eaton down there, the 45 is far too long and the 60 then doesn’t have enough space for the manifolds. Believe me, I’ve tried.
An Eaton has to go up top, not at all my own preferred choice for loads of reasons, I’d rather a turbo over that.

Intercoolers are easy, eBay is chock full of the things, s/h from £20, (mine), new from £45. Loads of configurations. Hosing and elbows are also simple, masses available, including options to have custom tubes bent. Custom tubes are the best option, not only can they help shed heat, but they cut down on joints. You really want to have the least points of leakage, but each junction creates turbulence which slows the charge, not what you want at all, even minutely. An AMR runs 5-8psi by the way.

diy-efi.co.uk will sell you a plug and play speeduino ecu to whatever spec you want, most rolling roads can custom tune that. Or at the very least give you a base tune you can alter yourself with Tunerstudio. Possible to buy the base M44 board and solder it yourself, one dropped through my door a couple weeks ago. The BOM is on pazi88’s GitHub.
