Hi I have a facelift 1999 year 2.8 z3 with manual transmission

I want to do a refresh of the front subframe assembly and rear beam / trailing arm assembly. To minimise the time the vehicle is off the road I’d like to buy both front and rear subframes etc and have them powder coated and built up ready to go, unbolt my existing parts and put the reconditioned ones in.

Are any facelift rear beam and trailing arms suitable, do they need to be from a 6 pot or specifically a 2.8? Ideally I’d be doing brakes, diff, drive shafts and everything.

Are there any recommend / resident breakers? I’m near Gatwick.

There are variations with the rear beam and trailing arm and I’m sure with the front subframe as it only list ///M models for me you best to check your part numbers on Realoem.

@Lee is Basingstoke often has some ready powder coated, as will @spurs fan in a coupe - and someone else sells em ready coated too.

I think only narrow body and M versions wont be applicable to you. 2 ltr+ non M versions are the same....I think

Couple of guides on rear beams etc. MAzza did a good write up (get a set of tank straps off him too) and I have a refurb thread. Finished mine mechanically - just bodywork now.
