So, as a preventive measure I dropped the car off to get the subframe reinforced. I needed to get the bushings done anyway, so made sense to do both at the same time. Turns out my lack of getting around to it, caused some subframe separation, as the the failed rear bushings vibrated through the car.

Anyway, work done:

The rear knocking is finally gone! kn addition to the above, finally got around to doing the M50 manifold swap! Haven't driven it much, but have noticed the power goes all the ways to red line now.

Fitted with 5harp3y's induction kit, it's sounding nice. Next on the list will be an exhaust swap and then finally get he remap done to take into account all the little bits!

I also suffered my first tramlining experience. Time to check the tyres I think!

Taking it seriously, then? Glad I've only got a 2.2, hopefully it'll never get too bad. And when it comes to tramlining, matching tyres all round are a good thing.
I am indeed. I'd rather pay a few hundred now, then a few K if it goes. I've nearly invested as much money into it, then what it cist, but that's part of the enjoyment .I buy cars to keep, so will have this for as long as it lasts!

Tyres are 6+ years old so I'll get them done when I've saved up again!

6 year old tyres? There's a very brave man.;)
Yeah I only noticed it about a month ago when I was checking tyre sizes! Have the car about 14 months .It barely gets driven as well. Condition of them are perfect and no visible breakdown of the compound yet, but they'll be replaced soon
