Looks like it can do the job. The amp has less power than the quoted max power input at 2 Ohms for the subs, so that's a good thing. Off course it doesn't mean it cant bow things up if over driven to peak power and distortion gets high.
So, don't go to far into the red zone.

thanks for your input, as the sub is a duel I was planning on wiring it so it opperates on 4 Ohms and bridging the amp which then gives 4 Ohms

Looks ok Sean its a pity you can not get speakers you can tap the power on. According to Ohms law you will need at least a 3 amp fuse for the sub and a 3 amp for the 2 channels at 4 ohm but will need to upgrade to at least a 6 amp for 2 ohm and again 3 amp for the sub at 4 ohm

Thanks pal, I'm kind of getting my head around it, the plan is to power the 4x Vibe slicks with an amp of their own, just want to get the sub up and running first

would love to hear it Sean.
Hopefully have it in at the weekend, got the Amp today, after lots of research I have gone for a Pheonix Gold 400 what amp, its perfect for what I want, it is 150w RMD for the sub and 75w RMS for each of the front speakers, not cheap though but in the Amp world its pretty reasonable

Nailed it, it sounds amazing, Carrie and I have just been out in the Z and we are both blown away by the sound quality and sheer volume, Most of the sound comes from the front speakers now that they are powered by the Amp and the Sub gives a real punch, even the we think its great I am going to take it to an audio shop for them to set it up as I am concerned that I might clip something, Tidied it up as well, the sound just adds another layer of enjoyment to the car
