Hi guys,

I just bought some style 78`s from Synclare - thanks Adrian. What I should have done was realised that there are different size options and asked this question first!

I just want to ensure that they will fit OK on mk1 1.9 Z3.

The sizes are:-

Front :- 8J 17 EH2 IS47
Rear:- 81/2J 17 H2 IS41

Thank you for any advice.

Thanks Sean. I assume they will not stick out too much, or need spacers?

They won't stick out but may need spacers, thats just a case of preference, I collected a set of style 42s today, similar to yours but split rim, as I am going for gun metal inner with a polished rim

Thanks Sean. You have put my mind at ease. I looked at the 42's as well. Nice wheels.

My preference is style 108s, easy to clean and look great, I had these on my last z3 but will never go back to 18s again, just to problematic with tram lining,

These are my 108,s on my Z4 using the spacers I took off my Z3 when I sold it. 20mm on the rears push the tyres right out to the arches as do the 14mm on the fronts. Was just the same on the Z3.

I can clean the whole rim on the inside with these wheels.

Thanks Dino. They look great.

I did just notice that the front wheels are different sizes! One is 8J IS47 and one is 7 1/2J IS41.

I assume that this is this a disaster?!?!

Its not a disaster but its odd the front wheels should be the same width and off set though maybe one has been replaced an et 41 7.5j is a zed fitting and the 8J et47 sounds more like a z4 fitting.
i think a stock z3 rim has an offset of 41 a staggered set up the same if a z3 rim.
Staggered set ups for the z4 from what i have read appear to be front 47 and rear 51.
The spacers push (lower the offset) to fill the arches. Different spacers could be used on the fronts for fit, tyre wise on a 7.5/ 8 would probably be the same.

if the front wheels are different sizes i would be wary of using them as that may affect handling!
