I got the cubby in, strangely after only about 5 attempts. Pleased with that.

I've just realised that I'll need to buy a T40 socket, I've been sat here for the past hour trying to tighten it by a t40 hand screwdriver and only then did i realise what a waste of an hour that was.

A socket helps, its hard work otherwise.
I don't think they go all the way in either.

I got the t40 socket today and tightened everything up.

The only thing left to do is stick this back down, does anyone know what the best thing to do is?

Some good quality contact adhesive is what you need. B&Q might be a good place to get some.

@t-tony What's the difference between using something like that and superglue?

Contact adhesive is applied to both surfaces to be stuck together, allowed to almost dry then pressed together. This allows a better bond on something such as you pictured. I think you would get a more complete bond than with superglue.

Super glue is great and if you really need to bond really quick just apply a little water before the glue, it activates much quicker, but make sure you have everything well lined up putting the two pieces together. JIM

So, roll hoops are fitted and they look great. Still have to put contact adhesive but I'll do that at a later stage.

My pressure washer simply wouldn't power on today, so I spent 5 hours just washing the car with a garden hose today. I find that these hand car wash places never really do a very good job, so the 5 hours with the garden hose produced a better result. =))

Below is what the hoops look like fitted :)

I'm unsure as to how these pieces fit in place though, I can get them to fit but they'll fall off every time I close the storage box.

I've used some blue tack as a temporary measure but they still vibrate a lot and product annoying noises when I'm driving.

I would use some double sided adhesive tape Faheem, people such as 3M make that type of product. Readily available and always useful stuff to have around, like brake cleaner, to clean both faces before applying the tape.

Thanks @t-tony I was unsure whether I hadn't fitted the pieces properly or whether the pieces were broken. But if that is how they are designed then double sided tape it is! Cheers!
