Hey guys, having a spot of trouble with my mums 1.9, yours truly may have left the lights on overnight and drained the battery.... although the doors open from the key, the boot won’t - meaning I can’t jump it! Any suggestions? Did consider going from inside the car behind the boot lining etc.

Many thanks in advance....!

You’re actually meant to use the terminals in the engine bay to jump start it.

You’ll find the positive near the bulkhead with a red plastic cover over it. And the negative is a chunky looking nut on the strut turret.

Looks like you may have an additional issue if the boot doesn’t open with the key.

Thanks for your advice, have successfully jumped the car and after relocking/unlocking the door the central locking properly kicked in and the boot is now open!
