started work on this engine bay....just a quick pic of the strut in place..
Looks good Wayne you got many mods planned for the M?
no Daz...just suspension mods i cant see it needing anything else
nice strut brace, every m needs a Simota
its on the list Hornel...but a good way off yet....going to get it riding how i want it first
Looking good!! i think i prefer the black one you know!
Hi Swamper, Looks good, was thinking about getting one myself, let us know if it makes a difference :-bd
How long did it take to arrive after you ordered it and did it affect your insurance premium?
Looking good swamper but I can think of a reason why it could have an effect on your insurance.
I would think that if you got side swiped, the strut brace would also cause problems on the other side of the car?
We were told by Churchill that fitting one would invalidate our insurance so you must tell them otherwise it is a get out clause . Agree that there is no logical reason for this, now with admiral and had to pay extra to have it fitted, but so worth it .
im with elephant and the strut brace cost me £84 to declare, worth every penny though.
ive driven an m with one and without.
no difference for everyday use.
But a difference for non everyday use
Strut brace, H&R uprates anti roll bars and stiffer suspension and you can point and shoot round the twisties
The strong struts are the business, a cheap one would do the same thing but these are so nice I would not be without mine.
yes jon a difference for spirited driving and track use.
Looking good Swamper. I ordered my strong strut today, got an email from Paul to say it will be posted tomorrow I went with titanium to match the rest but the black looks great too!!
Overkill on my car but I love the look of them.
thanks everyone.... its tightened up the front end on the quick stuff and the difference between the strong strut and the e tech one it noticeably different as the strong strut isn't hinged and that shows
as for the insurance it comes under a suspension modification...which is the reason why im getting the rest of the suspention done...in for a penny and all that
How long did it take to arrive? And did you get hit with import tax?
sorry forgot to answer that....i bought it off another forum....
What you need is a Butt Strut.According to Mike whose car has a full compliment of Strong Strut products for the Z3, the Butt Strut makes the largest single improvement by a mile.
Mike discussed his Butt Strutt in this wiki article...
im going to have one made
