So when I changed the belt and some accessories a few years ago it was really hard to not strip or damage the torx bolt. I said to myself that I need ro replace it next time I work on it.

It's time now. Is it a special one or just a regular bolt? Left or right hand thread? Can I replace it with a normal hex bolt?

Thx

Not certain if you can substitute a hex head or bolt. But LHT at 8mm x 30 are easy to get hold of... And the image in the link you posted looks like a RHT to me, and is also a socket head hex, not a torx...

I need some advice guys. Its very difficult to find out what sort of bolt it is. I'm starting to think it's a regular RH one. It's this type I have mounted

I take it its the bolt that mounts the tensioner to engine.

Number 4 in picture.

If so part number highlighted in second picture get a new one from your local bmw dealer should be easily available as if you click on the part number on real oem its fitted to a multitude of bmw and mini models right up to date ( maybe used to bolt other things) but still same part number hence should be easily available.
