Stolen Z3

I am sad to be joining here on the day my beautiful, red Z3 has been stolen
1996 65k miles, real roll bar, supercharger. Boo Hoo, a dream come true for my 68th birthday last june.
Stolen down town Northampton, MA right in the center of town. I've been told that the super charger would be the first part to be sold off. Is this one of the sort of cars, even though it's 21 years old, to be loaded onto ships for Saudi Arabia? I can't seem to get a p[picture here, but, you know the RED

A sad welcome to the forum from West Cumbria, England. That's not good mate I wouldn't have thought she's of to Saudi, more likely stolen to order for the parts as it's worth more in parts than a whole car. A new supercharger goes from $4000 - $8000 so worth a few $$ second hand I suspect. You looking for another?

Hi from Canada and sorry to say but your car is probably in a hundred pieces by now with most sold off. Did you have it serviced lately where they could have had a key made?? Not likely someone just wanting a joy ride though. What brand of supercharger was it as I''m always on eBay looking for one and it might just show up!! JIM

Besides the usual police reports, you need to post to the facebook Z3 page, and on both the other popular (US based) forums (bimmerfest.com and bimmerforums.com, in their Z3 sections).

Good luck. Too late for this car, but in the future, there are GPS/satellite tracking devices that can be hidden inside cars; you can set a "geo-fence" that will send you an alert if the car gets moved outside a predetermined circle. http://www.rmtracking.com/vehicle_recovery/smart_tracker.php is one such device.
