Yesterday the drummer from Mott The Hoople, Dale Griffin passed away only 67 yeas of age.:(
My Orlando TV station has just told me that a big favourite of mine, Glen Frey of The Eagles has also died at the same age.:(

thats all you seem to here now cancers taken ........ really need to find a cure for this terrible illness soon. i do a direct debit every month since a close friend died last year.

Cancer is a terrible sneaky illness ,but there are advances in medicine all the time there are many more positive stories it's just that it's not so news worthy .im still here and I'm not planning on going anywhere ,except France on my bike in March ,Nederlands in June and maybe Italy in July .PMA....positive mental attitude.

Eagles guitarist Glenn Frey has died at the age of 67, the band has announced.
He died in New York City on Monday from complications arising from rheumatoid arthritis, colitis and pneumonia.
"Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love and respect for all that he has given to us," his family and fellow band members said.
The Eagles were one of the most successful bands of the 1970s, with multiple hit singles including Hotel California, in 1976.
Frey co-founded the Eagles in 1971 with Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner.
He co-wrote Hotel California with Henley, and composed a number of the band's biggest songs on his own, including Heartache Tonight and Lyin' Eyes.

I had a beer with "Buffin" Griffin at JB's rock club in Dudley around 1980. Mott the Hoople had broken up and he and Overend Watts were in band called British Lions with John Fiddler from Medicine Head

The Eagles were one of the most respected and gifted musical influences and vocal harmony bands of the 70's and their music lives on - that's what, Hard Top - no offence meant sir.:)

Spot on, but its just getting blown out of all proportion in the press the last week and a bit, after Bowie, and yesterday "Bowie's last resting place leaked" for Christ sake....
No offence taken sir, it takes a hell of a lot offend me..:)

That's rather odd, because it came up prominently on the front page of BBC News this morning... and is now showing in the most popular, but with a date in 2010. Never seen the BBC news site show a "last updated" date in this section.

I didn't notice until I mentioned it to a guy at work either Gaz, he said straight away he died a while ago. I dint realise because I wasn't a fan to be honest.

Yes Gary the BBC website does that regularly now. I saw the same story yesterday and it was referenced to 2010.
