Stiff gears, don't always think the worst

So had the zed 2 weeks now and working out the best plan of attack to get her back to heath. The main thing that made her not so go good to drive was very stiff 1st, 2nd and 3rd. We always think the worst and start looking at replacement clutches and gearboxes.

However don't fret things arnt always so bad. I remembered Edd china ( Wheeler dealers) once saying always change the gearbox oil first. Always the sceptic i thought id give it ago but lets face it it'll be a new clutch etc at that milage.

Too my shock the box feels like new with super silky selections every time after a refill with castrol transmax III. The oil i dropped was nasty.

Found an excellent filling method, so easy and trouble free, theres even a handy loom connector clip to hold the hose in place too

Yep mine was the same. Gave it an oil change and all's good.

Spot on, thats how I change mine, people see its listed as filled for life and don't change it, oil in cars that are at an age ours are at now really do need fresh oil/atf put in. The difference it makes to the gear change is a revalation.

I'd do the diff too :thumbsup:
Next job on the list but i want to get it off and do a proper job with a splash of paint.
Either that or regasket the head and in take etc as I've got a Leakey chain cover too.
