Sticky throttle

Yes i have the sticky throttle syndrome, revs dont drop when i come off the pedal for 6 or 7 seconds or more sometimes, she a 97 1.9 m44 . Have read previous threads on this but there seems to be no outcomes posted, help appreciated. Havent tried anything yet

I had a similar problem on my Merc. It turned out to be a sticky micro switch on the throttle body. I just gave it a good clean with carb and injector cleaner and all was good.
