Good day/eve from the UK. I was wandering what steering wheel upgrades are possible for facelift 2000 Z3?

For a 2000 year car I’m pretty sure you need one which takes a 2-stage air bag. Someone will confirm or put me right. Regarding how you “Dress” your wheel the sky’s the limit. Speak to Royal Steering wheels, they can use many different leathers or even put a “flat bottom” on your wheel, according to your wishes. I had a wheel done for my previous Z4 and it was the best mod. I did.

Yes Tony face-lift have multi stage bag .
@DeanjayZ as Tony has said if you have the M sport wheel pictured above
Royal Steering Wheels do some great customization as for changing the wheel some older 5 series wheels fit otherwise not much else without having to modify a later wheel or buy an aftermarket direct fit wheel but pretty much all of these dont have airbags so are Not Mot compliant so a m wheel refurb is the simpler method for a new look like tony says oversized padding materials and stitching of your choice flat bottom if you wanted.

Royal Wheels did a refurb for me back in 2012, one of the best things you can get done to improve the feel when driving your car. They padded out the rim to replicate the E46 M3 steering wheel I had been used to on the car I had before the Coupe. Cost me £115 back then, it will be a bit more expensive now for sure but still a great mod to get done.
Just a pity back when I got my wheel done they didn't do the flat bottom mod as 137699 had done on his steering wheel.

I have to agree regarding the flat bottomed wheel Pete, it would've been the icing on the cake for me too.

I sourced a used wheel and sent it off to Royals.

I think the flat bottom looks bloody awful. 😂
