A kind of scrubbing noise coming from the steering wheel? If that's what you've got then I've had it for quite a few years. Louder when it's cold.

Some say it's the UJ on the end of the steering column in the engine bay. Others say it's the slip ring behind the wheel. I suspect either of them could make a similar noise. I'll change both one day.

Thanks for the reply
It’s more of a belt noise in the engine bay you do feel it through steering wheel though

You can't upload video like you can still images. You have to upload to YouTube or similar and post a link to it.

May be a stupid question, but do you have enough oil in the steering reservoir? And has the feel of the steering changed at all? If I remember rightly, there's a filter inside the reservoir, may be partially blocked.

The car did have a health check recently and he did top up the reservoir I haven’t check since I came back so I will check the levels

If the fluid has gone down, good chance the cooling pipe (in front of the rad) is leaking.

If it needed topping up before going to Spain then checking the level once you're back might be considered a good idea. These cars, being of the more mature nature, will need looking at more than newer stuff.
