Steering issue

Hi Guys
Any thoughts on why my steering fails to self centre, always feels a bit tight compared to more modern systems but drives ok at all speeds. Just needs correcting as self centering is not working ?
Vehicle 2.2 2001 model Z3 roadster approx 86000km Japanese import.
Any help appreciated

Check your steering fluid level, and make sure your front tyres, tracking and front suspension is ok too
