Write Up STATFOLD BARN 13th Setember

Well what a crackin day, fab weather, wall to wall sun, even more going on than last time. Plenty of steam from trains, road rollers and traction engines. Respite from the heat was found by wandering along the side of the train track on the footpath in the shade. Lovely viewing area at the end by the signal box watching steamies coming and going. I did however feel the enclosed carriages a little too well occupied so went on the tram instead - upstairs in the open at the front 'upwind' ! Fabulous grounds, very idyllic.

Must agree, great day and an excellent venue. Plenty to see other than the cars with the trains,tram, the steam loco museum and all the facilities. Cafe , bar and proper toilets(very clean).
