squeaky drivers side window!

Hi all, the drivers side windows on my z3 lets out an almighty squeal every time I wind it down,
on the way back up its perfect, silent and smooth.
it seems after I am 2 thirds of the way down it stops.
I have narrowed this down to what I think is the rubber/window seals near the back of the window possibly being to tight, causing friction and making it squeal, any idea's of what to use to lubricate this or how to fix this problem:??

I had this problem with my Shogun, WD40 did the trick, apparently candle wax works as well

Silicon spray is the way to go

Silicon spray and up and down with the windows and then retreat every few months.

Silicone spray on all your rubbers ( not the personal ones just the Z ones) been doing all the rubber on Z and all rubber around the soft top for the last 5 yrs, try to keep it off any fabric and paint work, keeps it from going hard.( did I just say that????)

My passengers side windows has gone too
But mine is a different problem..........
I put it down the other day to " dry " it a bit
And it had trouble coming up again
I'll have to get Alan to have a look at it

you all knew someone was going to do it and I just can't resist any longer so........
Aawww @Shelly im sorry you have a different problem but it happens to quite a lot of people ,they won't admit it.Sometimes both of you gently pulling it helps but always lube it up first ,sometimes you can ask a friend to help but the have to be "really"good friends .i hope you get it sorted soon please let us know
