Does anyone know whether the connection plug for the standard radio is round pin or square on a 1997 Z3 please? I currently have an aftermarket unit and would like to replace it with an original Business Radio. Thanks in anticipation.

Think you will find its a square plug, don't remember seeing a round one when I changed my headunit. Usually an aftermarket unit is plugged in using a short converter cable that plugs in to the BMW plug on the main loom.

Ah no, I meant the pins rather than the plug casing?

Ah so, the pins, pretty sure they were square in the sockets and plugs however I seem to remember the adapter loom I fitted my replacement headunit in may have had round pins that fitted to the bmw loom, the square pins on the other end fitted into the back of the new headunit.

If thats the right one then the car radio loom should have female sockets in the connection plug
