Great spots, also I'm jealous because I've always wanted to come to the Goodwood FOS, ideally with a pit lane badge

Don't hate me here but these 2 shots make me realize how gracefully the Z3 aged in comparison with the Z4...

It's worth the effort to get to Goodwood FOS - so much to see. It's not worth getting a pit lane badge (even if they are available) as you can get up close & personal with the cars, drivers. mechanics etc with the day ticket. Thursday is the 1st day of FOS so although there is some action going up the hill, parades of supercars, latest releases of new cars & a timed practice run for race cars the main action starts on Friday going through to Sunday - that's when they get serious!

And yes, I tend to agree with you about difference - but you'd be surprised on how many people take positive interest in my Z4 at the shows we go to - even when there are Z3s present!

The z3 you spotted at the FOS does belong to a member. I spoke to him at the Goodwood soft top Sunday. His name escapes me at present, but I have a picture of his car and his speel about it. It is showroom condition, has not been used much.

740miles annually makes my 73000 km (45000 miles) driven from 2001 nothing special...:(

When I spoke to the owner. I recall he had another z3 that he drives regularly but wants to preserve this one. It will probably be worth a fortune if and when he comes to sell it.
