Has anybody got a sports CAT fitted? I'm going to my local Powerflow dealer to look at getting a new exhaust and have been looking into a sports cat. From what I've dug up these are the general specs

Decat = 0% restriction (100% flow) pretty self explanatory
100 cpsi Sports Cat = 15% restriction (85% flow)
200 cpsi Sports Cat = 25% restriction (75% flow)
400 cpsi Sports Cat = 40% restriction (60% flow rate)
OEM exhaust= 50%-60% restriction

So I was thinking a 200 cpsi would be MOT compliant and should make a noticeable difference in sound (not drone) and performance, any thoughts?

@t-tony I'm looking at you for MOT advice ;)

cheers

I'd love to know too, and also how much as well. Really want to replace mine with something a bit fruitier and a bit more free flowing. Priced up a full SuperSprint system a while back and it was £2k+

As long as there is a cat fitted where there should be one, and it is type approved where required and the car car passes the emissions no problem. Answers to those points would need to come from the supplier I'm afraid Ash.

Birds are nice touch, but the diesel engine put me off..

@zedonist I had it done at Mr Tyre in Coventry, they are my nearest Powerflow supplier

@roadvoyager1 200cpsi was the lowest I dared go - there is a little drone at cruise but I opted for the backbox to be silenced as much as possible, but a derestricted cat will be louder by nature.
