I'm currently renewing the hard brake lines to follow-up an MOT advisory last year. For the rears, I plan on cutting the main front to backs (staggered) just before the bracket on the underside and splicing in sections from there.
Is it possible/has anybody successfully managed to extract the rear lines intact with everything else still in place, i.e. suspension, diff - basically the back end? Thinking mainly of the hard lines to the first set of flexi's, including the one that goes over the diff. The lines running along the trailing arms look v. straightforward.
I can see something on a bracket by the left rear bush with a blue fuel line going into that looks like it'll loosen off to give me more space. I could also remove the left rear spring at a push which would likely help a lot. I really want to extract the lines intact and not bent out of shape so I can copy the bends. Any advice/tips gratefully received, thanks!
