Specialist Insurers?

Insurance time again in the U.K.

I’ve never used specialist insurers before as I group together my vehicles with Admiral insurance. But this year I’m wondering if I can get a better deal as I’ve got a Z3M and a Z3 1.9. Both vehicles are 22 years of age.

Can anyone gives me the sort of figures they are paying from a specialist insurer on their Z3M and the name of the insurer please?

I use Adrian Flux or Lancaster - with Agreed valuation for my Z3M, Z4M and 911... quotes vary depending on Postcode, mileage, points, garage etc.

I previously used Brentacre, Manning and Adrian Flux (for the last 3 years). This year I thought my AF renew was a bit high so as I normally do checked around and came up with a much better quote with Classic Line who had been close to my AF quotes over the last few years.
I've also checked with BMWCC A Plan, Hagerty, Saga and Chris Knott over the years. It pays to take a few hours and just shop around as the variations are huge depending on things mentioned in post above.
My last insurance with Classic Line cost £268 with agreed value, garaged overnight and 3k annual mileage limit.

I have now renewed with admiral, I contacted a number of classic car insurers and Admiral were by far the best quote! I will however make a note of your company and try you next year! Many thanks

Z3 1.9 140hp

I went through broker Peter Best. The insurance premium was around £45 for the year. I think I gave the value of my car at £2.5k and 3000 miles. No mods. Garaged.

The interesting thing though is that the broker's fee is another £45 quid so total for the year was £90

When it's due again I might see if I can avoid the broker.

On the other hand the hour or hours that would take to do it myself is time I can spend doing something else. So I'll probably just use the broker again.

Just paid £115 fully comp with Adrian Flux on my 1.9 Z3, 4000 miles.

just had a quote from Aidrian Flux of £147,Z3 1,9 1999 T reg, with hard top no mods. always best to phone cheaper than online quotes.Have an other car with max no claims, Z3 is kept in garage other car on driveway.I think that is a fair Quote.
