I fitted a set of plugs earlier with my tried and trusted method. Thought I would share it with you. My spark plug socket is missing its internal magnet so I use a length of rubber hose to insert the new plugs down into the recessed holes. You will never cross thread a plug using the method. Easy and a cheap tool too. To keep the hose straightened I store a piece of steel brake pipe inside it.

Agree Tony - I use a cut-off from an old washing machine fill hose - ideal fit. Rest of the hose is used for filling diff with a funnel in one end youcan stand at the back of the car to fill.;).
