Hi guys and girls,I've just chopped my
Z3 in for a z4,and I've got some z3 spares if anyone wants them: 2 front and 2 rear discs and pads,2 front calipers,I replaced them for drilled and grooved discs last year, but they are in good nick, also some fuel tank straps, that was the project for this year, but didn't get round to it.My old motor was a 2001 2.2 z3 sport.I don't want anything for them, just need to clear the shed out.I live in Brighton so someone near could pick them up,I think I remember seeing on the Forum, there was a couple of guys in Lewes which is close to me.

A 2009 2.5 23i S drive in White, goes well a bit stiffer than the Z3 and the 6 speed box gives it slightly longer legs, just need to get to grips with the technology, electric handbrake, and the cockpit check via the computer,no distinct ect, seems a bit weird at first.

Lovely car!! you will get used to it. enjoy. I looked at a 2010 in black last week, was thinking of buying as my daily that was also the 2.5 23i S drive
but the guy selling said it was also the m sport. when I did the vin check it wasn't showing as an m sport, so it put me off. I keep looking though.

Maybe it was a sport,my Z3 was a sport, they just fit uprated suspension, and different wheels, and a few interior tweets, that are used on the "M", are you the guy in Lewes or near Brighton,if so when the lockdown eases a bit ,we could meet up somewhere and chew the fat.

Nice to meet you this morning Tony, and many thanks for all the spares, (and the tea.) They will all find their way onto my 2.8 project.

Your Z4 looks superb, I should have taken a picture and put it on the ‘spotted’ forum =))

ps .... in case anyone is wondering....this was an essential journey:whistle:

Sorry Tony, we will have to keep our discussions to the Forum, I'm in Huddersfield, bit to far journey for a chit chat 🤣, My current Z is a Z3 3.0i Sport, the bigger brother to your old 2.2, but silver. all the Z's are gorgeous cars and absolutely timeless in looks. I would have a lot more on the drive if the wife allowed me to. =))

A great looking motor,I was after a 3 litre Z3 before I settled on the Z4,but couldn't find one that I was happy with,my old Z was really low milage, when I sold it 46000 miles, when I got it about 6 years ago it had 38000 and all the correct paperwork,so the bar was set quite high, but I've had a lot of fun driving it and working on it,there was stuff I intended to do this year, but I was told to take it a bit easy ,because of a recurring back problem, sorry about the misunderstanding about your location wasn't paying attention when I read the post, anyway here's a couple of pictures of the z3 and z4

Good choice I have one myself. Old engine technology carried over from the e85 but reliable and no turbo to blow  One word of advice, the oil change periods are long, don't wait for them, change it more often.

Hi Tony, both look great looking cars. hope you got a good price for the Z3 when you chopped her in against the Z4. Some Dealers will have you believe your car is worthless. since you bought the Z3 6 years ago it will have gone up in value.
Kyle.

Always do,change oil,oil and air filter, annually,Plugs, gearbox and axle oil plus brake fluid every 2 years, but last year on the Z3 I fitted a K&N air filter element, which you can clean and recharge .
