There have been 2 Z3's on eBay lately that have had my scam radar beeping. The first was a 3 litre cat c repaired, currently in Italy but delivered to your door when paid for. The same seller has a Z3M listed now at a very low price but only available soon. Is this guy for real? Hundreds of cars out there but I guess there must be suckers waiting to be hooked, or am I just a cynical old git?

I have seen the very cheap Z3M Coupe as well but that has been flagged before.

Don't know about this, but there seem to be a lot of scams around recently in the Z3M field. Healthy cynicism is no bad thing!:)

There's loads of scams on all sorts of cars, on Ebay/Autotrader/pistonheads.

None of them are doing enough to stop it, I report obvious ones as soon as I see them and they often take hours to remove them.

Plenty of people fall for losing money, they often just ask for £500 to secure the car. A good days work if 20 people fall for it.

One a day would be good tax free income. Anyone know a good school for potential scammers?;)

I'd steer well clear if I were you, I think you'd lose your money. Too good to be true usually is. Just my view.

As mentioned think its all makes and models with appeal.
It obviously works for them to keep doing it as said if it seems really cheap it has to ring alarm bells although i suppose some people in the excitment of the moment loose the sense of being a scam as its replaced with need to buy that !!

Why pay anything to secure a car on a private sale? You pay outright for the car only when it's in right there front of you. Always plenty more out there should it sell.

Something to think about.

If you walked into a shop and bought let's say a book which was a clever scam, and you followed it, to then lose £5,000, you'd have redress against the shop.

So I can't believe the like of Autotrader/Pistonheads/Ebay are not getting taken to court over peoples losses.

After all, they are allowing criminals to operate on their site.

Much more needs to be done to prevent them, rather than just taking the ad down a few hours later after 10 people have fallen for it.
