I do like a nice "customer states" and "just rolled in", reminds me of some of the things I had turn up when I was mechanicing. Seems to be a lot worse in the US of A, I guess there's no need for an MOT in the land of the free.

Such as vented discs split in two. Would never have a chance to get that bad here. As for those rotten chassis, FFS.

If we had no mot test in uk it would be same here people drive some components to destruction as is.

Most of uk to some extent or other is classed as a corrosive environment so cars just rot here.

Yes, cars do rot here, but, you would never see a chassis that rotten if the MOT test was done properly. That type of corrosion doesn't happen in 1 year.

Some states have annual safety checks but many dont - also these can vary state to state :cool:

Well you only need a MOT here if you go sell your car. So If your happy to keep it till it drops. I need say no more about that... :whistle:
But you can sell a car without a MOT, but you cannot register it until you get one, thus it's worth Aaaah, F#@% all...
