No...I no longer have my Z3 (It lost a fight with a lamp post and crash barrier) so it's surplus to requirements.

Plus the key rings are no longer available to buy new!

James, feel your pain, mine has had its crumple zones tested last month.

Sorry to hear that...I read your post earlier. Cars can be repaired or replaced...although I'm gutted as my car isn't repairable (at least economical to repair).

I broke my hip as a result of the crash and am just getting back to normal now after 6 months or so.

The Zed stood up well to the impact so is a testament to the design however some damage occurred to the hardtop above my head, dread to think what might have happened if I had the soft top up/down!

That sounds like a bad one James, how the hell did that happen?

I was pulling away from a roundabout and as I accelerated the rear end spun out (the road was covered in mud due to a new housing estate being built just off the roundabout) and it was a damp day. The road conditions, rear wheel drive and I have to be honest me probably being a bit too hasty caused the crash.

The car hit the kerb, went up into the crash barrier and then flipped in the air and wiped the lamp post out and the car landed on its side.

I'm lucky to be here Mike.

The key ring has now sold too!

Christ, what had you got under the bonnet?

Just a standard 2.8. It was just down to the conditions and me accelerating on the curve with the weight over to one side that caused it.

Is your car repairable?

Yes, insurance paid out, more than I had expected, I could buy another one right now with the money but I am in the mood at the moment to do something different, turn it into a track car for example.

Hi Mike I'm glad to hear you got a good settlement from the Ins. Co. Do you think you would get enough enjoyment from the limited use of a track day car as opposed to a car that you could use on the road any day you choose?
