No idea ! Some sort of mini based rear engine pick up ?

Correct @Slam, there is a big clue if anyone looks very closely at the photo. When I first saw one of these many years ago I had never seen a car with this feature and I think it is unique to these cars. I may be wrong of course, I often am !

Struggling with this one immediate thought Clan crusader?

The other Imp kit car was a Davrian ~ so that's my guess :)

Well it's definitely Mini based. At first I thought it is a GTM Rossa, but although similar its not quite the right shape. So I think it is a Unipower GT. What's my prize?

Mini Marcos?

Tony.

Spot on @Bumpa, the clue is the gear lever mounted in the door sill to the right of the driver. Only car I've ever seen with this arrangement.Your prize is of course a big smile knowing you are correct.:)

I wonder how well that gear change worked? The Mini change was never great in its original form. How did they connect it up on the Unipower?

You used to be able to get a "bolt on" remote gear change for the Mini, I had one I got at the local breakers yard.
You removed the original gear stick and in it's place you fitted a stubby one which just came through the gaiter. Then you bolted the extension complete with gear lever to the floor and connected to the piece in the gearbox.
They probably used something very similar to move the stick to the outside.

Tony.
