Gaz, well said. As I just posted in another thread everyone took Frankie's trip to heart and it went well beyond just the common bond of the Zed and became a down right human level effort by all. Everyone treated this stranger as they would want others to treat them and made this a most memorable week for Frankie. And he gave back what he received. This forum is unique as none I have ever been a part of shares what goes on here, border lines don't exist and all are made to feel welcome to participate. Well done folks! JIM

So........ Jim........ when is it going to happen? Next time when you both come over together you have a bed at ours.:)

OR even if you want to come down to Orlando to take in the Celebration Exotic Car show or the Goodguys All American Custom and Hotrod show . We have 5 Bedrooms.

All you have to do is ask.

Tony.

Your turn next then, Jim and maybe even Hardtop, after he's repaired his car! You never know Mike, you might even come round to befriending the EAC after all!!!:D

We spoke to Frankie last night on his mobile and you will all be relieved to know that he actually got the hire car back in one piece!!! He then enjoyed a visit to the Natural History Museum on Monday and offered them his Sabre Tooth Tiger skull!! Generous to a fault, our Frankie.:)

We thoroughly enjoyed Frankie's company, although from Thursday to Sunday, it was a hectic four days with something on every day and most nights!! He is a very thoughtful, caring person and very entertaining.

T-tony, thanks kindly for the generous offer. There was an outside chance I could have met up with Frankie at the end of July but when he had to change his date for travel June wasn't in the cards. As it's turned out I will be working with my son all summer now and Joan and Trinity are headed for Chile June 19-August 21 to visit my new grandson and his parents. I feel that with the comments and pics that I felt I was there with Frankie and I know he enjoyed every tiring minute.
Now that my car is on Candian soil it's a matter of finding the time to fly out and drive it home. I do have some ebay items to pick up in MO. so FL may happen. One never knows what tomorrow will bring. JIM

things like this really warm your cockles..I unfortunately never got to meet Frankie this time but TBH the whole thing passed me by, new job has me slammed and I haven't been on as much,

however, lovely to hear that Frankie made such good friends and that the british hospitality was at its best!

its nice to see old fashioned kindness and friendship is still alive and well in 2014 at least on z.org!

its a credit to a really wonderful forum and community and z'ers everywhere, I really couldn't imagine something like this on the porsche forum...

I will make an effort to come to some of the events this year and share a pint with some of you chaps..I look forward to meeting you all soon!

Joey, well put. And I am on the Porsche forums and believe me you hit it out of the park with your comment. I can't be bothered anymore, suggested once that a list of people willing to billet owners from other countries and offered up my place and had no replies. Perhaps that's something we could look into as now Cooper, T-tony, and I have commited to just that. May be for a night or two or whatever. Good idea or bad idea??
