How is it possible for a BMW Z3 stll available for around 2-7K?
After my cousin giving a lift to the station in his I can't get over nice they are.
Driving should be fun, so I'm going buy a Z3 or Z4....as soon as possible.

One thing I find funny is the whole "hairdressers Car" image(?).. Love to know if there are any stats to back that up....
How do they respond to motorway driving?

All small convertibles lost their ‘Hairdresser’ tag once they released the Fiat 500 …you have nothing to fear

btw ..my hairdresser says she loves motorway driving ..not quite sure you want to know that though 😎🤣👍

I would say it depends on how tall you are. The z4 has more leg room and the cabin felt slightly bigger compèred to my Zed. Although I’ve never driven a Z4 others say the Z3 is a bit more sporty but I would get out there and try a few models of both and form your own opinion. If I was looking for one today I would have to have a look at a E89 Z4 a bit more money but love the hardtop so a coupe and roadster all in one.

Thanks, will look into the E89 Z4, after I try a few Z3's

£2 to 7k? I can beat that - out of curiosity I asked Webuy anycar.com for a valuation . . . which came back at £850, for an almost one owner 1998 double-vanos 2.8, in outstanding order. Here in France 15 to 20k Euros is the order of the day, as les Francais see very few, and lack the media industry which tells people (without showing why!) that the Z3 is a terrible car! Some of the TV presenters look as if they have only recently passed their test . . .

After about 50 years of driving some pretty good cars, all I can say is that the Z3 is the absolute quickest car on my favourite hillclimb course (Magpie Woods, between Yelverton and Yavistock!) without getting out of shape. Likewise, I am also 6 feet high, and have also covered 650 miles in a day, from Brig in central Switzerland to home in the Dordogne - and I could still walk afterwards!

The Z4 Cabriolet is pretty useless for long-distance touring, as with the roof down you have a job to fit a laptop into the boot, whereas we used to travel over Europe for six weeks - camping!

Sounds like your having fun in your Z3!! 650 miles is a lot in one day. Magpie Woods sounds like a good road to test drive a car on.

Hi totally free of rust the paint has a few laquer patches and a couple of minor dents but generaly very sound with 76 k on the clock

There’s a red 1.9 16v near me on FB market place not been ran for two years and needs a roof (looks like it could need outter sills too) for £750 😬 but I’ve got too many projects on at the moment namely the house……she would kill me😄

With up to £7k to spend you could buy a Z3, Z4 E85 or E89. I think it depends on your main priority .The Z3 is the prettiest model with classic 'retro' styling, but I have to disagree with the comment that it is ' more sporty ' than the Z4. I have owned Z3 s and driven several E85 Z4 s , one of which I now own , and the E85 is the better handling car. I never liked the Z4 until I drove one. As for the E89 , I have no experience, but plenty of owner comments on here. They are all nice for different reasons, love them!
