A little 2.2 sport (bought unseen )

350 miles away in sunny Newcastle before going on a flatbed...

After all that travelling it still ended up 100miles away from me in an equally sunny Basingstoke

Duly inspected at Zedshed HQ....prognosis not too good....so the Gazebo of doom was called into action:

Pall bearers @pgunter @Oldguysrule @Lee @GazHyde on duty for the ceremony

Much discussion and huffing and puffing:

And what we were all looking for was found,
21p in total (not including the priceless Lidl trolley token :))

Some Yoga happened:

Many sweet and sticky beverages were consumed courtesy of Starbucks shareholder @pgunter

As it was such a special ceremony @Oldguysrule even broke out the fancy biscuits

Bits of Z started falling of amidst much cursing in the blazing sun

Carefully catalogued pile of bits appeared:

Mostly squeezed into the back of a Ford, the remainder under cover for now...

....leaving me with 1 and 1/4 Zeds in Kent and 3/4 Z in Basingstoke...not quite sure how the logistics will work on this but we’ll get there somehow I’m sure =))

Got some homework to do now taking pics :snaphappy:and making for sale ads...:computer: and turning that pile of bits into something useful for a bit of :coolsteer)

So I can hopefully keep up with this when it’s all done:

It was a fun day @Dino D ..

You will find a lot of happy zed owners with those parts.

Much fun indeed and having such a great crew makes doing stuff like this feasible and fun- If I’d done this particular one on my own I think I’d have been rather grumpy at seeing the rattle can spray job, liberal under sealer and tappetty engine - I’d probably have sulked and taken a year just to get to this stage =))

The last 2.2 I bought only hung around for a year before I actually completed the interior swap into my 2.8 o_O

The last time it was at the shed it came back driving better than ever!!
Hence it’s become a keeper and 4 yrs later still going great.

It’s all about the feel for me, 60 already feels like a 100 in this now as it is so a few tweaks and it’ll feel even faster (and it’s ok if the odd Audi passes by, I’ve given up trying to keep up with these modern turbo things!)

Not really clear what’s happening here?

What work is being done? With what aim?
Dino’s bought a zed because he needs some bits off it. I also need some bits so the rest of it covers the cost of buying it. Got delivered to me and we made a start this weekend.

Long n short of it. Dino wants to take his 2.8 zed to the next level.
