...searching for a solution to the sliding seat problem in my beloved Z3. I've now bought some of Aceman's apparently legendary repair bushes and looking forward to a sunny day to do the work, and hopefully new passengers no longer saying "Ooh my seat's moving!"

Here's a pic of my Z3, which I've owned since 2013, having wanted one since they came out! It's 'only' a 1.9 litre model, but on a sunny day with the roof down who cares? I love it and I'm sure you'll agree it still looks great.

I'm not too sure about the replacement alloys but these were nearly new when I bought the car and came with new tyres, so it seems silly to change them for now. I replaced the hood with a good quality one from Prestige in 2014, and I keep it dry under one of their 'Cabrio Shield' covers in winter.

Anyway, just thought I'd say hi and introduce myself and the car. I'll be doing a bit of minor work on it this Summer (starting with the seat bushes) so no doubt will be popping by regularly to search for wisdom...

Hi Welcome.
Mines also a 1.9 1997 it's a classic car so power is enough for cruising occasional country lane blast it's not about the power I treat mine with a little respect she is nearly 20 years old.
Agree about wheels not essential to change and it looks great in silver I have decided to keep mine as original possible.
Just keeping on top of servicing and minor upgrades of ageing parts.
Enjoy.

Hi Simon & welcome to the forum. Nice car. Lots of good advice on here as I have found. The sliding seat is a fairly easy job, I used the info on the forum to do mine.
