“Q” my 2001 Z3 1.9 today was officially declared a “youngtimer” with FIVA approval.
Strangely enough, the inspector had the build sheet (probably from the vin I sent him) and did a thorough check on the car (even the brake pads) declaring it “type A” and “group 1 - original”.
Why did I do this?
Not sure if vanity or love possessed my.
But I did it.
Besides, now I can insure it as a “youngtimer” and have a better compensation in case (god forbid) anything bad happens.
Pictures will follow soon, when I finally install the hardtop and give it a good polish.
