Silly little problem- but needs fixing one way or another.

I have new mats which are great, and come with plastic screws similar in size and style to the oems.

So far as I can tell, those plastic screws are designed to simply grip into the carpet and material underneath it (rather than into some sort of solid threaded hole). The hole for them to screw into has become loose and saggy so the screws just dont stay in.

I could shove a load of epoxy or hot glue in the hole- but I wondered if folks had found a more elegant solution...

I had the same problem and used black mastic sealer, just make sure you fit them at the correct angle as the slots in the mats, worked a treat on mine

I cut some plugs from high density foam and glued them into the holes with black mastic then pilot drilled the foam and screwed the fixings in.
