Sill Waxoiling, an easy way?

Being fairly ancient and a little lazy I am toying with the idea of drilling some small diameter holes in the underside of the outer sills and spraying waxoil or similar into the
sill cavity through a flexible tube with a nozzle that sprays in all directions, really soaking inside then filling holes with rubber bungs etc.
Anyone done this? or similar? or am I an idiot? Comments welcome.

Removing the sills is no big deal, I'd rather remove the sill panels so that the inner sills can be inspected and waxed thoroughly.

Drilling holes would be an option, but a rather sloppy one. I'm not a big fan of puncturing a car without a good reason :oops:

Agree with @DomiMik and you can inspect and protect wing panels and other bits while you are at it.
If you don't want go for full removal there are rubber bungs in wheel arches and you can also remove jacking point rubbers and inject through these points.

I did the sill replacement and wing refurbishment project earlier this year and really the idea of just injecting Waxoil wouldn't have solved the potential rust problem I discovered when the sills were removed.
First 2 pics show original sills in place and they didn't look all that bad apart from rust at the ends and what looked like a patch of rust towards the rear of drivers side sill.

Hope this helps in deciding what to do on your car. Mine is 2000 model with 105k on the clock when I did the job.

Best practice is to take the outers off plus remove the jacking point plastic inserts, doing so will reveal the true condition of the inners and allow you to apply waxoyle into the cavity once you have dealt with any rust you discover. Just buy some new sill clips and new self tappers for putting it all back together.

Totally pointless exercise. As you have probably realised by now the only real option is to remove the sills, inspect / treat etc.

Yes it seems what I had in mind is pointless, but now decided to try and find someone who could do the job properly as I have physical problems when spending time on my haunches.
Sills may be good but I just want piece of mind as I love the car.
