Sill repaint

I have finally got around to buying a second hand rust free outer sill.

How easy are they to paint with rattle cans - atlanta blue - and where is the best place to buy them.

Any tips are much appreciated as never done this before!

Personally I wouldn't paint any exterior part of a car with rattle cans.
I would take them to a bodyshop and ask them to paint them in the correct colour. Even then, they may need to 'blend' the colour into the adjoining panels of the car to get a decent match.

Good thing about sills is that there are definite 'seams' up to which paint can be sprayed so no need for feathering into existing paint, but I'd agree with Pond - get a good professional sprayer to match the current paint, which may have faded from the original and not be an exact match for off the shelf cans.
