Anybody use them? Have any experience with them? The information out there is mixed to say the least.

Some rather snazzy looking silicone hoses on ebay, but something telling me you might get what you pay for in this instance.

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222243209546

Was at the dealers today and thought I'd check the price of a new Rad hose, £43!... @mrscalex was spot on. One of my hoses is looking a bit tired so I might have to replace, but not at that price.

I bought some new bolts for the new pulleys and tensioner while I was there to save messing around finding correct ones elsewhere, I passed on the small bolts that hold the thermostat housing in... £4.50 odd! each! Just for small regular hex bolts, unfathomable pricing sometimes.

Noticed that some M owners swapped all their hoses to silicone at some considerable cost. Anybody have any experiences?

I have looked into swapping my hoses in that past and to be honest the cost of the traditional BMW ones is very good compared to a quality that you can only guess at from China. If you look at the racing hoses from Demon Tweeks etc they run in to the ££££'s and yes you might be paying for the name but who knows.

To be honest I am sticking with my regular BMW ones.

With regard to the bolts. You need to make sure the thread and depth are correct, as its could be expensive to find that they do not tighten up and cause an issue when you have it all stripped down.
