Hi all,

I've been doing a lot of investigation into leaks and think I have found a major culprit. This is the drivers-side door and clearly it looks as though the window has closed too far and/or the quarterlight is sitting too low. I sat in the car while my wife sprayed it with the hose sure enough it was pouring in from this point.

With how the window sits against the roof seal, I am inclined to think the quarterlight is set too low in the door - is this adjustable? And does anyone know the name or part number for the torn rubber cap on the end of the window runner?

Thank you

It's part of the 1/4 light seal IIRC.

Along the top of your windscreen. It looks weird. Has somebody fingered a seam of silicon along the top?

Your earlier picture with the roof up looks wrong, although the roof down pictures appear OK. My closed view below for comparison.

I'm so confused lol. I don't have any issues with the roof/top of windscreen seal, so I presume it is ok?? I have the horrible chrome windscreen surround, so are you seeing that and thinking that is the glass? It just looks to me that the corner of the chrome surround is a smaller radius than the bodywork beneath.

Anyway, sorry to get this back on track, but can any subsequent replies focus on the side-window/quarterlight please? :) That is the issue I'm looking to get any info or advice on. Thanks

After looking at the photos @Duncodin has posted and comparing with my passenger side, it does look like the quarterlight is too low. Is this adjustable or have I somehow got an undersized part?

In the back edge of the quarter light rubber there's a channel that the side window runs up and down in.

Mine looks like this

Take a photo from the rear same angle as my photo. is your side window in that channel?

In any case you're going to have to take off the inner door trim and look inside. Even if somebody comes along and says it's adjustable you'll still need to get inside the door and do it. I've never looked but I assume there's nuts and bolts in there fixing the quarter light to the door.

So you may as well take off the door card/trim and take a look inside.
