It does make sense for the area. When I worked in Oman many moons ago white was the favoured colour for a car as it reflected the sun’s rays as against dark colours absorbing the heat. All the oil company Land Rovers were an off white I suppose for the same reason (air conditioning was the 70 version - drive at 70kph with windows slide back
