My steering wheel is in great condition just really shiny, slides right through my dry hands! Has anyone else had this issue? any advice on his would be handy(pardon the pun) as I'm not quite ready for driving gloves yet:thumbsup:

Send it to Jack at Royals and have it doctored. One of the best mods you can do.

Tried cleaning it with sugar soap then jif and it has improved it 50%, thought there might be some old school way of bringing it up like new with an obscure product found under the kitchen sink!

I just did the Wife's last week. 150 + 100 deposit for the return of your wheel. Once you send your wheel to him you get the 100 back.

I also got the gators for the gear stick and handbrake done in matching alcantera for a further 35 each.

fit one of these like I did
£17.30

I got me a kit, off tinternet

Before:

and after a bit of positioning and 3 hours sewing with M- coloured threads (everything is in the kit)
1/2 hour of that was trying to untangle the knots I put in the thread before the stitching..:bashhead:

then a satin spray job to the buttons, it now looks like this:

the Z4 specific kit is here:

Ok its artificial leather but it sure looks and feels real, and was worth it for a punt
They do a real leather one for £38 which I will fit next, if and when this one wears out.

I admire you for having the inclination to do that Pete, and, It looks very nice. Me, I haven't the patience for something as intricate as that but hopefully others might fancy having a go.
