This weekend should see the first of the free food boxes for the 1.5m vulnerable people begin to be delivered.

Should the delivery people be wearing PPE to ensure all concerned stay safe?

If you or someone you live with have a food box delivered, please post a photo here as it will be interesting to discover what the Government is supplying.

Shielding. Social Distancing. Terms that were unheard of a week or two ago. I don’t know about you lot but I’m feeling like I’m living in an outbreak movie. It’s surreal but very real.

I had a piece of plywood delivered today. The courier dropped it near the front door, I collected it wearing gloves and removed the "bin bag" wrapping and binned it. I'll leave it for a day or so in case there are any bugs which should not survive according to the data I've seen.

Tony.

I was only saying to Alan the other night that I feel like I’m in a movie :(
As normally things only happened like this when your watching a movie on the tv .
It’s very quiet , with no people or car movements to be heard :(

We had a parcel delivered by the royal mail yesterday, nothing I'd ordered it was sent by a charity I follow on FB without my knowledge. The post man knocked, I opened the door and he shoved it at me with no gloves on or any protective kit whatsoever. Jue recoiled in horror, made me go straight out back and unwrap it, dispose of the packaging in the dustbin and alcohol wipe my hands before entering the house. This is all great aslong as I dont breath it in!!

Yeah quite agree, we get bottled milk deliveries, I collect from the step in gloves and wash them straight away. I spray the gloves with alcohol.

@Grumps agree. As least you were very and instantly proactive.

I’m wiping everything in a packet/wrapper/container/bottle done with disinfectant.
