As above , the screw that retains the metal cover and plastic pipe guide has snapped off when trying to replace.
Anyone had this happen and how did you get over the problem, rather not try the map gas so close to the fuel pipes!
Not sure why they use such small fixings underneath the car that are obviously going to rust ? Trouble is the fitting the screw is corroded into is pretty flimsy so isn’t going to take to much pressure before that’s damaged as well!

That bloody screw, I couldn't even get it to turn when I re-did my brake lines, despite bashing it with a chisel etc. Had to cut the lines after the bracket. I've messaged a garage who have an induction heater they think will do the trick.

So have you got the plastic guide and metal cover off? If you can see enough of the screw, maybe you could get some grips on it. My only other suggestion would be drill it out, but that would be a last resort for me. Hopefully others will chip in with some better suggestions.

If you have to resort to drilling it out, consider using a helicoil set, if an easy out with penetrant does not work.. Any easy out is an anticlockwise tap , but it still requires drilling but only into the screw actual, first up penetrant and shallow impacts with a small hammer will often do the trick if there is enough metal left to hit... google all that see if it helps. Good luck...

Cheers guys, there was stink about 5 mm of screw remaining and tried penetrating overnight and grips but it just twists the flimsy bracket it’s stuck in!
Managed to drill out the other snapped bolt from the front subframe yesterday, have gone from M8 to M10 bolt on that one as there’s some actual metal to play with!
