i spotted this at the airport in the hire car dept. Shame it's not big enough.

Anyway we went for a cup of coffee to kill some time till we could pick up the new car. Went down to the garage and found this old banger.

Not had the bonnet up yet, leaving that till tomorrow as it's raining at the moment.

This was after Shirl returned from a shopping expedition this morning having had some kind person do this to our hire car and drive away. She even went back into the shop to see if they had CCTV over the car park but they hadn't. Bugger! Good job we took out the correct insurance then.

THe new mustang isn't too bad, even if it's just a four pot now. It still gets down the road pretty well with 300hp. It's still not that great on the twists, but night and day to the older cars and most domestic US dross. Getting closer to euro handling, but must try harder, B+.

I had a convertible to drive down the PCH in June.

This was a V6 3.7. We went up to Clermont, about 16 miles to Uncle Kenny's BBQ one day for lunch. There was a yellow Stang in the car park when we got there.

I liked ours better.................

They always tell you to eat where the locals eat ....... especially these locals .....

ps. That was the other choice but the trunk is pitifully small even compared to the Mustang and we had 2 cases on the back seats as it was.

The Camaro is terrible in comparison. I drove the V6 convertible version in Hawaii a couple of years ago and it sucked.

Not required in Florida mate, you can put any type of novelty plate on the front if you want to, you could even have a "Grumpy" plate if you wanted!. Just as a by the way, when parking over there you should park nose in so that the reg. plate is visible to passing police vehicles.
