Hi,

Had my car serviced last week by Emtec in Salisbury who I've used for about 3 years now. It was booked in for an Inspection II with brake fluid change.

Got out of the car today and noticed something which made me scratch my head for a bit. When I bought Rosie, one of the things I put on my list was to change discs and pads all round as they looked really grotty.

It appears that when Emtec were doing the service, they rubbed down the disc hubs and calipers and gave them a quick spray over with silver paint and a liberal dose of copper slip... No mention was made of this extra on the paperwork.

How cool is that!

oooo no, if they are electroplated, they can just break without warning, you have been warned, oem bolts are organically coated, i.e no acid used in the process, so much better, which is why i am offering my oem ones to Gaz (must check i have them)
